Connectivity Restored – Intermittent upstream networking issue affecting eApps

Status Update 2:13PM:

About 5 minutes ago our data center provider performed maintenance on their networking devices. As a result of this maintenance connectivity has been restored. If you are still experiencing issues please contact support@eapps.com. Following is the maintenance announcement from our data center provider. We will update this post if status changes or we receive a resolution report from our data center provider.

“QTS has implemented memory upgrades in one of our affected facilities. QTS has validated that the memory upgrades have resolved the internet services affecting issue at this site. We are processing emergency changes for the remainder of the sites affected.

We are continuing our investigations and have full vendor support as we reach resolution.”

Status Update 1:14PM:

FROM OUR DATA CENTER PROVIDER:

“QTS has implemented memory upgrades in one of our affected facilities. QTS is validating that this step has resolved the issue. Once we have confirmation we will be implementing this solution at the other impacted sites.

We are continuing our investigations and have full vendor support as we reach resolution.”

Status Update 11:36 AM:

“QTS Network Team continues to work with our hardware vendor, which is currently on site. QTS has identified that the memory errors are affecting a certain switching hardware platform. We are currently planning for emergency changes across affected sites in attempt to resolve the issue. We are continuing our investigations and have full engagement of QTS network support teams and vendors to resolve the issue.”

Status Update 10:43 AM:

“QTS Network Team continues to work with our hardware vendor, which is currently on site. We are in the process of putting together plans to increase memory to our hardware in order to resolve the hardware memory errors. We are continuing our investigations and have full engagement of QTS network support teams and vendors to resolve the issue.”

Status Update 9:24 AM:

“QTS Network Team continues to work with our upstream internet providers and have also engaged our hardware vendor. We have identified some hardware memory related errors that could be contributing to some IPv4 route prefixes being dropped which is impacting some of our internet service customers. We are continuing our investigations and have full engagement of QTS network support teams and vendors to resolve the issue.”

Our Data Center Provider has reported a major incident related to connectivity to the Suwanee (Atlanta) data center which is impacting access for some eApps customers. We are engaged with our data center provider and will update the status as soon as we have an updated status.
